Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, their practice traces everything from 2D and Multimedia animation, to games, novels, installations, and systems of play.

As an artist, designer, and educator, their philosophy stems from the belief that skill and obsession will always trump talent. Talent is something that the fortunate are born with. Skill is cultivated through meticulous practice, and obsession stems from a deep desire to know more about the world around oneself.

Shortly following their graduation, Drew de Silva went on to co-found Critcap Labs, a cultural design lab devoted to experimentation and play as work. Their film Catch the Sunrise has been screened at local film festivals such as Agenda 14 and international ones such as fuse.

Created as an atithesis to the gentrification of the internet, this website stands as a neo-digital archive of de Silva's life and work.
